At sports park Poelenburg in Zaandam, a bold and innovative modular housing project is set to take shape. A total of 172 homes will be realized, 72 of which are designed by RU+PA. Positioned in a tranquil, green setting and slightly removed from the urban hustle, this project aims to create a self-reliant, community-centered living space with a warm and modern design.

Two distinct buildings with wood façades and colorful fencing will stand out, along with sloping hardwood galleries and a striking gate featuring a wide staircase. The project also includes a beautiful inner courtyard with shared spaces, surrounded by residential blocks carefully positioned to maximize sunlight and livability.

At Plug and BIM, we’re proud to be part of this modular initiative. We will be responsible for the engineering and 3D design of the full electrical installation, implementing our pluggable electrical system to ensure a fast, precise, and flexible build process. Our plug-and-play solution is ideally suited for this type of prefabricated housing, minimizing on-site work while maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.
